Welcome to our next edition of Ask The Influencer: 3 Questions with… where we’re so fortunate to be speaking with mum-extraordinaire and all round sweetheart, Alice Bingham of Alice in Healthyland.
Alice has recently given birth to baby number four (yes, FOUR!!) so we are delighted that she could take time out of her very busy and chaotic schedule to offer her valuable insights on how to master influencer marketing.
Here’s what Alice had to share:
What do you look for in a successful brand partnership?
I absolutely love when a business is passionate about their brand/product. They reach out via a DM or email and do a quick introduction, share their passion, and ask exactly what they would like the influencer to share. I think it’s important to give the influencer some freedom in sharing your service, brand or product as they know their audience more than anyone. They have spent time engaging with them and building up relationships and trust.
When choosing the right influencer, make sure they’re someone who your ideal customer is hanging out with. Spend some time engaging with the Influencer first on their posts, then watching their stories to feel if there is some alignment too. Trust me, I have had emails offering work saying they love my page, which they are not following and want me to promote “for example” their new alcoholic beverage and I am 25 weeks pregnant. Haha do your research, it will honestly help you save time and make your partnership more successful.
What sort of content best engages your audience?
For my brand personally, people love the longer captions with the experience and watching the stories. Reels are doing unreal for brand awareness at this point in time too.
What advice do you have for small businesses considering an influencer partnership?
Don’t be shy! Honestly, we are all everyday people running a business too (our social media platform). Be open minded about asking for a media kit so you can get a feel of their work. Also, ask them for their rates and see what they can offer for you in return. That way you go in knowing exactly what your budget is and what to expect in return.
A big thank you to Alice and we wish her all the very best on baby journey #4 and we can’t wait to soak up on the #babyspam on Instagram!
